Identify the "tricky" pieces—the ones that either can't be placed along the edge at all or can only be placed there in very limited ways.

There is a group of interconnected pieces. If one of them is placed along the edge, it can only do so when combined with one of the other two pieces.

These are the L-shaped piece made of four hexagons and the semicircle-shaped piece made of four hexagons.

The piece that looks like a radiation symbol belongs in the center of the hive.
