Rotate all of the pieces and compare them. Look for possible patterns—for example, pieces with two holes opposite each other or with holes separated by one side.

Identify the most challenging piece. It cannot be placed at either the top or the bottom of the tower.

It's the piece with six holes. Imagine inserting all of the cylinders into it, or do it physically, and you'll notice that the pieces on both sides of it must have enough holes to accommodate them.

Assemble the puzzle on a table. It's easiest to keep the tower lying on one of the hexagon's sides, allowing you to attach pieces from both directions as you build.

The six-hole piece is adjacent to the five-hole piece and the four-hole piece.

If you're assembling the puzzle horizontally on a table, you can still slide the cylinders with your fingers. When only one, two, or three pieces are attached, try pushing a cylinder through and see whether having it protrude from the opposite side makes the next steps easier.

The six-hole piece is the third piece from the bottom. Below it are the four-hole piece and the two-hole piece with the two holes next to each other.

Another challenging piece looks like a radiation symbol. Only a limited number of pieces can be placed next to it.

Always think about how to maximize the number of available holes.Attaching a piece with one or two holes is always easy. The real challenge is fitting all of the cylinders inside the puzzle. If you leave the pieces with many holes for the upper levels, you'll eventually have to make a single cylinder "serve" a piece that has many holes, making the final assembly much more difficult.
